Revised Site Structure

I have reorganized this site:

  • To focus more on my music, with multiple song list pages.  The “Newest Songs” page will include songs just recently finished.    This list will change on a regular basis, and I may highlight a new song with some background on why it was written.
  • The “Favorites” Page will include older songs that I like to go back to on a regular basis. None of my music is that old but these songs are no longer technically new. 
  • The “Steve’s Standards” list includes most of the rest of my songs I’ve released on SoundCloud 
  • I have added a blog page where I plan to comment on specific songs (both new and old) and what I was trying to say in the song.  I also plan to comment on the use of AI in music creation.  Finally, I plan to share thoughts re “Christian Music”.
  • I want everyone to understand what it is you are listening to.  While the songs are my songs (lyrics and melody), I used an AI music program called Ace Studio to substitute vocals (you really don't want to hear an old guy singing) and had the program develop the musical arrangement behind the vocals.  It's like having a full studio in my house at my command.  Fortunately, with this program, my wife doesn't have to clean up after all the musicians leave.

If there are any people who love to sing, but nobody wants to listen to them sing, I'd be glad to share my perspective on the wonders of AI music and the marvels of Ace Studio in particular.

Notes

Many of these songs are what I would call my “guardian” songs.  I use them personally to help me keep myself properly oriented.  As I add new songs, I may drop a note or two here to discuss why the song was written and what I hope it will express. While these are clearly not “church songs”, they use various fun genres that are popular to express faith statements.  Hope the music doesn't seem too crazy for some folks.  If it lifts my heart and has me getting into the beat, I consider that a good combination.
